Nice to hear that you want to learn VB6, my favorite language in which I express my logics. But I suggest you, even you start with VB6, please learn the languages which rule the current decade.

I started my learning approximately 9 years ago. About 90 % I learned it myself from books, and mainly Internet.

I think you should purchase a good book on Visual Basic 6 and practice programming ranging from simple to complex problems.

Remember, learning language is just memorizing language syntax, in-built functions, keywords etc. But the real sense is your understanding about the problem solving techniques. And this is only achieved by practice and experience.

As far as your question about Mentor, I think you will soon get. There are really more experts than me, on DIC.

If you have any problems, you can post here and I will try my best to solve it.

Wish you good luck.

Unfortunately we're not a tutoring or mentoring service here at Dream.In.Code, we're here to help those who have programming issues. You can read tutorials (Like the section here at Dream.In.Code) and work on projects, then when you run into problems post the code that's giving you issues and someone will be more than happy to help.

Also, since Microsoft does not support VB6 any longer (and wont even be shipping the runtime with any OS after Windows 7) you might want to take a look at learning a more up to date language such as VB.NET, just a suggestion smile.gif

Maybe, maybe not. We don't know yet but in the next couple of years we should know but just so you know vb6 programs are supported on win7 and through its life cycle, and as such vb6 programs still have a life of almost 19 years to come. But yeah, time to learn a new language.

Good Luck
