How to make a Web Browser game?

hey i was wondering if any of you guys no how to make a free online Browser game thing,
because i wanna make one..
if any of you have played the game Hobowars well thats the type of game i want to make,

if you havent go here

One common type of online in-browser game is made using Macromedia Flash. If you can prove that you're a student, you can get it for a great price at http://www.journeyed.com. I'm not sure what kind of game "HoboWars" is, but it looked kinda like Flash. Do a google for Flash games and you'll see what they look like, if you don't already know.

One of Flash's advantages is that you don't really need to know much programming outside of ActionScript, but Flash Pro 8 even has a ScriptAssist option, so it's really no big deal.

As far as browser based games are concerned :

Flash is one of the popular things to make such games.

You can use Java Applets if you are comfortable with Java.

Guess what you can even make small games with JavaScript too!

I would also love to be involved in creating a browser based game too ... More in the graphic production side of it.

I'll start looking at flash. Thanks for the posts about it.

Just as a foreword.... I'm working on a game site, mainly based around PHP RPG's. The premise is to award common points for how well you did in the games --- and have these points go towards buying cool items. If any of you have seen the SMF shop, I might do something like that --- e.g., you can egg somebody's avatar!

If anybody is interested in helping let me know, I need artists....

The Best way to develop a web based game is using php.PHP can help you do things which other programming laguages cant.
