Hello i am new to this 'scene', i am hoping to learn C++ and i was wondering if you could provide me with like some information on some good sites and recommend some books that would be good for learning C++ to a professional standard?

I appologise becaue you must get no end of these questions.

The way I did it :
http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/language/tutorial/

After not understanding the few last chapters, I bought : The C++ Programming Language by Bjarne Stroustroup. Then I passed a lot of time of analyzing codes and hanging around this forum and I picked up quickly.

accelerated c++ (sorry canīt remember who wrote it) if your doing a web tut, just be careful, many of them expects you to know c.
