How to link/ plug database or worksheet into C++

Guys I need your help, I want to know how to link/plug in database/ Ms Access/ Ms Excel/ MYSQL / VB / other releven into the C++ program.
Actually what I going to do is, I don't wnt to use text file to do my project because I not allowed to do so.
So where can I learn such thing?
Can guys (who expert in C++) provide me me some link (website) article or tutorial which related to it?
You also can teach me if you want too.
I just want do a project related with application of databases and C++.
