I want to start off a kind of buddy list for online games but I dont not know how to save my info. I usally work with structs for stuff like this, but obviously I want to save the user's buddy list to a file of some sorts. Saving to XML must be an easy thing to do, but what other choices do I have? Do you have any good resources on how to save data from a program?

Depends on what you want to do with it in the end...you can save it to a simple file, or a database. Will the data be written and rewritten frequently?

Nah.. a database is too big for this. I want my user to be able to rewrite of and to be able to easily email their buddy list to a friend for example.
