ok so i have this program im trying to create and its a beginners class to Visual Basic 2005. I have one problem though i need to make it so when i run the program the user has to type in a password before they can use the program. Everything is fine excpet for we have never discussed this and i dont even know where to start to do the password entry code. All he did was simply show us his program, i absloutly LOVE this guy.....NOT

his prgram had a small box pop up and said "type in password" and all that good stuf then
it went to the program after it was typed in.

Some help would be awsome.......

Id show you my example but i have no idea where to begin and no one else is available today.

i thought maybe you had to do somehting like
CODE
form1.password = "the password".......
then somehting esle but that is apparntly not what you do. There are several verison of VB and im so confused...

Put all the code to handle the password, from the initial prompt to the user to acceptance of the correct password inside your Forms Load Event.

The Load Event is the first thing that runs when your application first starts.

figured it all out.......might not be the easiest way but i got it. I basically Have 2 forms. And when the prog starts up the password form with a text box and button are enabled and visible while the form that holds the actual program is disabled until the button is clicked with the textbox.text = "the password"

Sound good to you guys?
