Try looking at people's websites and get the home page and style sheet from there site. Play around with the code and see what you can get. You are not doing anything wrong, it's for an personal use, thats all.

wtf do you mean its not enough? W3C and W3Schools is the standard for CSS. There isn't anything else!!

If you want to learn, try figuring out some of this stuff. This is how I learned: CSS Play

I’d say that the only way you’re going to learn is by practicing, preferably by hand since those WYSIWYG editors tend to show you one thing when the reality is another. You can read stuff on the theory all you want, but unfortunately, the reality is that there is a lot more to each piece of code since you have to deal with inconsistent browser renderings. The only way you’re going to understand how each thing works is by using each thing and see how it actually ends up getting rendered.

Hey thanks. I was going to ask some questions about CSS but after reading (and playing around) with the information and so forth provided on CSS Play and W3Schools I found that my questions were answered.

Thank you!

CSS are like styles out of <tag />'s, so when 1 knows to write html, then he knows howto write CSS.

For far to lazy people there are like style builders, so you can actually produce CSS without ever really understanding how it works.

If one is familiar with OOP then (s)he might like (free) version of vs 2005 where web package includes a css builder. So .asp pages would be styled.

If 1 needs help that (s)he does not find in w3schools, then do use wikipedia. biggrin.gif

if your looking for in-practice examples of what css can do, one of my favorite sites has always been http://csszengarden.com/ they don't really explain how they do it, but their code is easy to view and if you're willing to do a little investigative work its a great resource.
