Hi everybody,

i am little confuse about choosing the right database for my project. i am intending to build a car web site that have a rent reservation system, so i want to start with oracle but because of my lack knowledge in this database i decided to use Microsoft access because i can deal with it better. also i know how to use SQL (basic).

so my question:

what is the best way from these three to be the basis of my project?
and is the Access good idea to be used in such projects?

thanks
Amal

if you know how to use Oracle i would start with that. If you don't know Oracle that well, then start at least with SQL. Do not use Access, it's very limited in what it can do and ease of use. Especially if using Date ranges, as in the car rental system.

An easy way out would be to use access to connect to a microsoft sqlServer database.
They are easy to set up.
As i said, its the easy way out, perhaps not the best sollution from a security or performance point of view.
