I'm pretty good with using C++ to develop console apps..But recently Ive wanted to make programs using windows forms. The generated code when you create a form in VS.net 2003 is quite confusing and complicated. Any ideas to help get started better?

Unfortunatly windows program look rather wicked in C/C++. I would suggest starting in C (Here is a good wiki-book on windows programming) you will not want to STAY in C very long, but after you have written a few and you eyes begin to adjust to all the API variables and data types, take a look at those generated programs again. Also I suggest browsing the windows API from time to time, look what is there, take a look at the messages, the functions etc. Get a feel for what you can do in windows.

Once you get used to it, dive deaper into the MFC and ALT class libraries. Belive it or one, one day all that stuff begins to make sence.

Oh, one last thing. Use lots of white space. To this day I get intimidated by dence windows code. The whitespace helps.

Yeah, Have a look at code written by using MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes). Buy a book on MFC Programming.

And As NickDMax said, at first you'll get confused about every class that you encounter, but practice makes perfect.
