MP3 and Music Video Player in C++

New D.I.C Head Joined: 23 Mar, 2007 Posts: 44 My Contributions	I want to create a program that can play MP3's and Music Videos (Want to do a GUI but don't know how so that's for later ). Since the first one won't have a GUI I want to make it so that the program play's the MP3's but for Music Videos it would open up Windows Media Player and playing it. 2B\|\|!2B Joined: 18 Feb, 2007 Posts: 2,858 Thanked: 49 times Dream Kudos: 550 My Contributions	You want to look into MCI and spacificly the "vfw.h" (video for windows). The best place to start is to go to google and type "vfw C++" and "vfw mp3" Then it is off to MSDN to learn about the MCI (mulimedia control interface --I think) and the VFW functions. I would look for an older version of the platform SDK that would have more information w/o all the .NET stuff tied in. (unless .NET is fine with you). There are a lot of other libraries. You can also look into using the Windows Media Player control. There are other 3rd party libraries that are very good.
