Hi,
I have a text file which contains the column headings as well as the data(that goes below the headings) in a jumbled way.COuld anyone help me with a script to separate the columns & data? I have attached the text file. The details of the text is as below:
The ones in upper case are the headings)column names), the ones in the brackets are the data and the ones that follow the brackets in lower case are the units.
COuld anyone help with a script either in C or in Perl?
Thanks,
Kali

Well the best place to write your script would be in Perl. But it can be done in C as well... However we would need to know the format of the data file. (the attachment didn't work)

from what I read of your discription I would post in the Perl forum as it would just be easier in Perl.
