New D.I.C Head Joined: 6 Feb, 2007 Posts: 29 My Contributions	So, i have some questions. How exactly does one create a program that is mainly based on a single computer, and then sink it to a websites info, or allow it to update? Also, how does stuff like facebook get created? is it all web based languages(html, css etc.) or is it more? i ask this due to the VB like logic i see within the facebook interface? Thanks!

lost in compilation Joined: 23 Dec, 2005 Posts: 4,674 Thanked: 99 times Dream Kudos: 3275 Expert In: Java, C, Javascript My Contributions	facebook is mostly php (like this site), a language which is interpreted by the server based on the user/session and displayed as html/css. You don't get to see the php, and that's the beaty behind it. There is likely lots of cgi server side scripting to handle image uploads/storage etc.
