So what's the dumbest mistake you've made? It's tough to remember back to all those times, but I think the one I struggled with the most was referencing a variable incorrectly in coldfusion. I must have worked on it for 2 hours before realizing I just had to take the # signs off. Lame

sony just made their dumbest mistake :

there is an interview ... 2 sony execs....
comparing xbox live and playstation network.

exec number one says that the two are equal, but playstation is free so its better . (they aren't equal, but let the execs say it if they want)
then the second exec pipes in to say that psn may not always be free.

so wiped out the one advantage psn has.

way to go .

When I was younger I used to stay up for days at a time, dunno, I like to find my limitations. Anyhow, I was mucking around with some hardware equipment & decided to see what the speed on my cd-r was registering as (2x6x8 btw, & it was $300 new). Point of this story is, I didn't unplug the power prior to hooking up or unhooking the device & what I ended up with was a nice display of fireworks & magic smoke. At least I knew the speed. zero

dumbest thing... accepting my current job.

I'm about to rant on why it was the worst mistake, if you wish to skip it, lol!

Jobs suck from time to time, but actually hate... no loathe it. Myself and 1 other staff member are the lucky suckers to do all overnights... without volunteering, just seems to be a scheduling issue (yea right). Was promised full time hours this summer and my manager would not hire new staff... needless to say there are 5 new staff members getting paid $1 or less an hour than me to do less than half the work, that is if they do any work at all. Been there 2 years now became a supervisor after only 1 year, seemed like a good thing.... just a way to screw me over... had 4 proper supervisor shifts in 2 months all closing shifts.. lucky me.
most of the time i just get regular shifts... until midnight... again, fricken lame... if i'm not supervising i'm not staying till midnight every night, and i told my manager as such, and so i have 1 shift this week. There's more, but i think i should end here.
