I would like to know is there any means in php or javascript to display the documents in a folder in a tree format.
That is.. displaying the parent folder first then the sub folders within the parent folder and so on...

I would be very glad if i get some help on this.

Thanks and regards,

You probably mean how it's usually done in java script:
http://javascript.internet.com/foldertree/
http://www.treeview.net/

or DHTML/CSS:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/navigate1.htm

It's not as fluid in php, it'd be a static representation unless you wanted to reload the page for each open/close.
