i went to google and type in php and downloaded it on my computer but when i click start and all programs on my computer and click on php it just said license and php mannual by the way i downloaded all of the stuff that was to download on php nothing work please help icon_up.gif

You need some server software as well.

PHP is likely installed in C:\php if you didn't change anything during the install.

Note that you don't need server software to use PHP. It's perfectly suited for the command line and you could even build your own HTTP, SMTP (granted this project doesn't work quite yet), and even DNS servers with it.

when I started in php, I had the same problem, it was rather complicated to get running, but then i found this:

http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

it is apache, php, mysql, and filezilla all in one package. if you're running windows, it's super easy to install and you'll have php working in no time.
