I think I recall having done it in VB before and it wasn't too terribly hard. I did a quick search on google and came up with this: http://www.codeguru.com/vb/gen/vb_misc/plu...cle.php/c11019/ If that doesn't suit your fancy, then simply google something to the effect of, "Visual Basic Speech Recognition". D.I.C Regular Joined: 28 Nov, 2006 Posts: 390 Thanked: 16 times Dream Kudos: 1225 My Contributions	Phrasing voice(in live, mp3 or any other format) is hard, mainly because people misspell and in about all languages what you say differs from what you write(exception is Estonian). Anyhow you should look how to set up SR here. Then to use it in VB you need to add Microsoft Direct Speech Recognition libary and off you go.

I used it before in my project. I have creat a program that convert voice to text (speech recognition) in VB 2005. I bought the speech recognition engine from this site: http://www.wizzardsoftware.com/products_developer.php#3 When you buy it you will get a useful examples that help you on how to convert voice to text. It is really nice. Try it

New D.I.C Head Joined: 31 Jul, 2007 Posts: 1 My Contributions	http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en download that its the microsoft speech SDK... look up some of the examples and you should be able to in about 5 minutes get a speech to text conversion going and text to speech as well if you want (works very well with dictionaries included or you can make your own dictionaries of words and the such... sorry dont have any example code at the moment its on my other computer but it was very easy to setup.. hardly required any visual basic code at all.)
