Well, a sound understanding of math and logic is always a good place to begin, as programming, especially sequential programming, is built on the use of logic to accomplish specific tasks and make decisions.

that being said, I'd suggest you try the language out, and work with it. Practice makes perfect! smile.gif

Both c and C++ are great languages, but there are many out there. your choice may depend on your end goal: Is there a particular type of programming you wish to do?

Get a good understanding for programming fundamentals before working with algorithms. If you try to take on more than you can handle, you'll be setting yourself up for disaster early.

I feel BASIC is a great language to start with. It makes it easier to learn C or C++ then. Visual Basic is also a simple language.

start with a programme like c or c++ which is closer to the machine code ,this will allow u to fully understand how things actually work and also u get exposed to stuff like pointers.it's a bit difficult though but it is worth it.when u finish with c++ then after learning c# the rest of the languages become less dificult.but if u want to start from basic programming then start with BASIC.

If you want to start from basics, then learn Assembly. (This is a joke, and a cruel one - do not begin with assembly languages).
