F# is a variant of ML running on .NET, sharing a core language with Objective Caml. This release includes: support for a slicing syntax, support for named and optional arguments, language constructs for 'computation expressions', library constructs for 'asynchronous workflows', pattern matching on 64-bit numbers, bug fixes, and other changes.
