NES Register Map, I can't find a good one

It's a map showing all of the locations of memory and what they do. For example, I want to set a background color of red somehow, I should probably write to the location of memory that controls the first color.

The resource site which I used was this: http://nesdev.parodius.com/ don't know if you are familiar with it. But i think that what you are searching could be found there. Really nice docs. Hmmm... maybe I start trying to code NES again...

We used nesasm to write 6502 assembler. Same story, we didn't get far, I just don't have the time to put into our project that we want to. http://www.retrousb.com/ We've ordered more than enough items on this page to make a few games. What do you mean when you are asking for a register map? I was under the impression that the 6502 chip only used one register. It can hold a value, or it collects math. Maybe we are not talking about the same 'register'?
