I have Vista on my computer and installed Visual Studio 2005 on it, since I have to do C Programming in uni. To ensure Vista compatibilty, i installed SP1 for Visual Studio 2005. But today, on the net I saw a comment telling tht programs witten on a SP1 computer will not run on a computer wthout SP1. Is this true???what do u suggest I do?

That's probably referring to the binaries/executables that VS2005 produces.

The course you're taking at uni should hopefully teach you how to write standard, portable code. You should not have any problem taking your 'C' code between compilers on different machines (maybe even different O/S's), and having it compile and run the way you expect.
