1.Comment on the following paragraphs and state if you find any misconception and correct them.

Object oriented programming is a whole process of analyzing, designing and writing code for a given problem as well as a process to maintain and reuse that code. All what you need to do is to write and maintain your code in an object oriented programming language. The written program in OO language can be also replaced by UML diagrams.

Object oriented programming is based on objects which are built based on classes where a class is an instance of an object. Objects can communicate as in the following scenario: An object A sends a message to another object B by invoking a method in B. Each class contains attributes and methods as well as constructor. Methods are used to instantiate objects of a particular class type and constructors are used to define operations appropriate to a specific class type. A special class can be defined based on a general pre-existing object through the generalization/specialization relationship.

2) Give a simple real world example (preferably engineering problem) that can be modeled using OOP concepts. Draw the UML class diagram of your own problem

Hi mka, welcome. That was refreshing:)
Now I suggest you try to search this community, where you could find tutorials on the subject, and also try the snippets area where there should be examples using OOP paradigm. If that is not enough the you can always google smile.gif
