Hey I was wondering, if I have the numbers 0 and 11 wouldn't the Greatest Common Factor be 11? My reasoning is that you can do 0x11 and get 0 and you can do 11x1 and get 11. Therefore 11 is the GCF, right? If anyone could verify or deny my question that would be great.

although it is true, 0 and 11 are both divisible by 11, the fact of the matter is, that is accepted that 1 is the only number which properly divides 0, as all numbers have a secret denominator of 1.
if what you say about 11 being the highest common factor were true, then: 0/1 = 0/11 = 0/infinity = 0, thus a factor 11/1 = 11, 11/11 = 1, 11/infinity = 0, thus a factor? no, this scalability does not work.
technically 0 has no factors, but for complexities sake, 1 is the only factor.

not yet, but it is a very interesting topic, very math oriented (algebra, etc) perhaps once i finish the class i will attempt1 or 2. I have done mass amounts of cryptography, and i even have a class on cryptography next semester, i am really looking forward to it
