Actually i'd try to find out the forum to place this question, but not found

the proper section / forum(is there any forum then show me) so i put here.

i'm a fresh gradute of Software engienerig and can work in these languages HTML,C,C++,JAVA,ORACLE 8i,FLASH MX2004,VB 6.0,VB.NET,
VB.NET STUDIO,ASP.NET.

BUT don't know that in which language i can program touch screen applications (hand held devices and KIOSK and whatever the device having touch screen).

However i'm fully aware of touch screen techonology / methodology

so, don't give me advices like ' it's same as mouse driven.....' or

' finger or pen or pointing objects send a single to and actions are generated and..... ' So on.

i'd also write some samples in C++ but those are only a samples and i'm

sure that there's might be plenty of choices of languages for touch screen

programming.

can anybody suggest me that from which language i should start ??????

OR

make it simpler, if anybody can give me the list of languages/toos rest of the matter i can / will solve.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

From what I understand these are programmed in the normal manner with normal languages like c++, vb, .NET etc. Its just that the screen is touch sensitive (using two layers that are spread apart and touching pushes them together, or an electric charge over the surface of the screen or set of reflectors which reflect signals when touched to form an X, Y Coordinate system).

With these sensor mechanisms it just passes along the coordinate to the program. The program assumes it is a mouse or other pointer device attached to the computer.

So no real "special" programming needed.

Hope this answers your question. smile.gif

I guess he's trying to say that the computer/hardware itself will take care of that option. just write the program and run it in a touch screen computer and it will work the same without need for extra tool/api's. Now does this make sence?

The touch screen systems I've worked with were the same as coding for a mouse. The main considerations are GUI design things like ease of scrolling, having buttons finger sized, and so forth.

To my knowledge touch-screens hook up to the com ports on the computer. Like Martyr2 said, you should be able to use any language of your choice.

ya, i know that but i just want some suggetions, as i said i'v already created some samples, so it is clear to me that it's all is something like mouse-driven programming etc.

However, this is also a bad feeling for me that some people are trying to solve my problem & i'v not check that, but for that, what i'v to say is only that one year ago my mother was passed away & passing one year after that incident we have some religeous rituals...... so, i was not at my place.

by the way, thanks for reading my query.
