Sweet, a Web Development forum. That gives me a place to put things like obscure .htaccess issues and such - I always just lopped them into "Building Your Site" before.

Well, an .htaccess question might fit in the new hosting forum since it has to do with how the server treats certain variables.

You don't think a big general category called "Web development" would steal traffic out of PHP/ASP.NET/Coldfusion forums do you? I sure hope not.

Nope, because if a PHP thread is posted in Web Development, it will be moved to PHP. Web Development is for general web stuff that doesn't fit in any other language/forum. Just like Software Development and Other Languages is in the Programming category.
