Hi,

I have to work with the same setup of browser windows every day. Now I'm lazy and would love to make some kind of macro to open them all with a click.

I managed to make one that opens all the windows I need, but I am wondering if its possible to resize and position the browser windows. I have 2 screens. I want 2 browsers to open on the left one, which is not the problem. But I want the other 4 to open on the right screen, resized and positioned so I have 4 smaller browser windows open, one in each sector of the screen. Is that possible?

I'm really a programming noob, so I have no idea. I tried to google and to use search function here, but couldnt really find anything I could use.

Hope there is anyone that can help.

Thanks a lot.

In Java and on *nix? ^-^

You are probably newbie, and using windows anyhow - so why take a trouble. You can try out AutoHotkey, with what you can compile your macro to executable(.exe file format).

Firefox can actually save the session, so if you enable it, and close it with the file>exit command (and not closing the windows individually), it will start right as you closed it (window positions, tabs, etc. included, no need to script anything)

She ( cool.gif ) chose Autohotkey. We have an older version of IE on the comps at work that doesnt support tabs or saving sessions. We are not allowed to install firefox.
