D.I.C Regular Joined: 23 Oct, 2006 Posts: 361 Dream Kudos: 175 My Contributions	I will probably be taking a class on programming in COBOL sometime in the near future and would like to get an idea of how it works...I have a couple of websites for tutorials and such, but I need a compiler to try the code on...anyone know of any good COBOL compilers for win32 (preferably that work with Vista 32bit) Thanks

Programming Theoretician Joined: 18 Apr, 2007 Posts: 5,655 Thanked: 313 times Expert In: C/C++, Java, VB, VB.NET, C#, PHP, Web Development, HTML & CSS, Javascript My Contributions	You can try Fujitsu's Cobol V3 compiler which is free to students (just got to fill in a form to download). It is an old school program and I am not sure how Vista will handle it. It should be fine but you never know. I have also included a great site for a tutorial on this compiler including how to compile cobol programs etc. Fujitsu Cobol V3 Compiler Download (fill out form) Fujitsu Cobol V3 Tutorial Site - Be sure to look at the compiling/linking section Hope it works for you.
