Sorry to be bugging for help on first post, but this seems to be quite the nice community from all the posts I read so far hoping a solution already existed. No luck as yet in finding one, so I appologize if this is trivial.

I am attempting to design a page to have the entire window become transparant, such that your own personal desktop or other windows will show through underneath the text. Not too concerned about trying to get rid of the toolbars and other browser items as I am quite certain I cannot do that with just HTML/CSS. Well, short of doing a pop-up which does not have them enabled that is.

I'm pretty sure that isn't possible using any web programming.

It /is/ doable for Mac users with Safari's Debug menu enabled...but aside from that, I don't know - and the safari debug menu options are user-set, and you can't alter them with HTML/CSS.
