Hey, basically i want to pick your brains! My question lies within the C++ region. I have created a program (for me this is an achievement and granted it did hav help from u guys . ....alot!!) that basically creates an image of a thumb drive( or to be fair it could image a hdd if you had all year to wait for it)...... anyway. I have this imaging thing sorted now but i think i would like to move to the next step now.

My aim is basically to create a tool that recreates that image that i have aquired just like FTKi (Forensics toolkit imager ....free to download).

Once i have the image of my hardware i wanna be able to open this image up and view the file directories and its structure.................and probablyh light years away maybe even view deleted files - but hey i wanna sit up before i can crawl let alone walk.


Anyone have any ideas how i can go about this task? ... and this seems like it could be a difficult task, am i out of my depth?
