subliminal message program?, how would i do it?

D.I.C Head Joined: 16 Nov, 2007 Posts: 111 Thanked: 1 times My Contributions	surfing the net, I found this site... http://www.wordofmouthexperiment.com/dedpyhto/ it is selling a program that lets you set custom subliminal messages, and then flashes them very quickly onto the screen, at something like 10 millisecond intervals It sparked my curiosity for two reasons, firstly I wondered if this could really work, could I really learn my Spanish vocab subliminally?? Also, I wondered how they coded that kind of program... Obviously bringing up a window would be too slow, and inter fear with what the user was doing.. Would I have to send a message to the monitor directly? Thanks for any help, this really got me thinking...

I think most programming offer some kind of TTL (Time to Live) option with text. Yes, I'm generalizing that to TTL since its probably called something different in each language. Wouldn't be to slow if you're codes not bloated. As far as causing fear...how? The point of a message being subliminal is that you don't know that its there!
