I haventn done much in 3.0 yet, but I know you have to download the 3.0 Framework and the 3.0 SDK. I also suggest, since you're trying out 3.0, to download a trial version of Visual Studio 2008, or C# 2008 Express Edition

I just wanted to jump in and mention that .net 3.0 wasn't a huge architectural upgrade to 2.0, it just included a few features needed for vista. If you go with VS 2008 you should be working with .NET 3.5.

Version 3.0 can be downloaded for XP SP2 users as a separate download. You can find it at the microsoft.com site. Just do a search for it. But if you are going to be diving into the latest, you will want 3.5 with VS 2008.

You can find the 3.5 download at the following link...

Microsoft .NET framework 3.5

Hope that helps. smile.gif
