It depends. What are you blogging about? Do you have a following? How much traffic are you bringing to your blog? I do believe its through the number of hits depends on the amount of advertising you can get. I could be wrong.

Best way is to have a blog that already generates a good source of hits a day, and when you have a fairly good base of readers you can go to some of the listed sites above. Of course they won't even look at you otherwise, so you kind of have to do the dirty work first and foremost

why not put some google ads up.
i know many are against the adsense now a days, but if you want something quick and easy to throw up there why not. some money is better than no money.

search for 'Google Adsense' on google, then u put adverts on your blog. You get paid a little amount every time someone clicks an advert on your site, so the more people you have coming to your blog, the more money you will get - so make it about something people want to see, like the guy above me mentioned for example.
