Hi,
I'm nearing the final stages of building this website, please have a look and let me know what you think. It is fairly basic, my first layout using divs.

Cheers,

nice and clean. alot of white though.

any sort of bground might be nice, even if you leave the content area white and have some sort of color behind the whole page.

and one little thing is on all the pages where it shows services or what not on the right sidebar, might want to make that pop a little bit more , my eyes weren't really drawn there i just glanced through it when i read the pages.

good work though.

Just a quick comment.

The site is nice, but maybe if you used the colours used on the signage on the front page it would gel a little better. The shop signage seems to have some identy so why not build on it rather than try to reinvent it.

The click here for map is very very faint and should be one of the most important links, as most of the visitors to a site link this are probably looking for an address, opening times or telephone number to call. The number should probably be on every page in the header as bold as the main menu.

The links in the footer do not work either.

I really like the header and links at the top. I love the choice of colors for the links. For the bottom-right links in the footer, I'd call "about us" just "contact" to match what it really is meant for. The sidebar looks kind of plain. I think the headlines for the content should be larger. It's a hip pet store, so being big and colorful is never a bad thing. You could choose to use the sign on the frontpage like another user recommended for your header logo; either is good to me, but then again I'd have to see what it looks like in the end. I suppose I have to use Javascript for that map... but I don't have it turned on by default. Not something to worry about though, unless your clientele happen to be programmers and webheads.

Give a little space to the right of the links in the footer. You might need to use   . And even though you don't expect people to bother with the footer when they're navigating, I think you should darken the font anyway. I'd put the hours on the mainpage too, though that is up to you. Normally when I think of a Contact page, I think it would only have phone numbers or an email address.

It looks nice enough.

I didn't see any evidence of viruses though.

One suggestion: Get a dot com domain. dot biz just looks suspicious, mainly because a lot of '.biz' sites do host viruses.

Also, there is a script. It is the Google Analytics script.

As others have said, the header and menu system is nice and gives me a sense of the site. That sense, however, is not carried throughout the rest of the site.

Take a look at the following examples from CSS Zen Garden for examples of creating a wonderful site with positioning and white space.

http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=184/184.css
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=163/163.css
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=157/157.css
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=082/082.css

These are just a few examples but I hope you study them to see how they take a central theme (like your header) and tie the entire site around the color scheme.

I think your site would be very nice using some of those aspects such as colored headers and block quotes here.
