I often use Google for finding things, especially when I can vaguely only describe what I'm looking for.

One of the problems I've run in to (and not just with Google) is searching for C libraries. Every once in awhile, if I'm lucky, one will come up, but usually I'm swamped with links to C++ libraries and etc (which are not what I want).

Putting quotes around the "C" help, but does anyone know of a better way to go about doing this?

Yes, buy a reference book. I am telling you, this is the best course of action. The net has some C stuff scattered about but since it is not considered one of the "modern languages" it is often hard to find stuff. The best way is to find a nice book on standard compliant C programming and libraries and keep it for whenever you need something. Being that it is an older language, you can usually find the books a bit cheaper too.

That would be my best advice. smile.gif

Thanks, but I have several already. biggrin.gif

By libraries I mean things like ezSocket. Something like this wouldn't typically be listed in a reference book (at least not mine anyways).

It helps if you know what you want to use it for - that way you can properly structure the search based on intent of usage, instead of focusing on the fact that it's for C. If you simply focus on C, the desired result may not show up until several pages in, and most people don't check that far.

That's true. It just bugs me when I find what I'm looking for, but it's only usable in "C/C++". smile.gif
