Ok well i just started to learn PHP today, i mostly want to use php to make web basiced games im already having a hard time though

can anyone tell my why isent " random text" isent showing up.

Did you save the file with the extension .PHP? Does the host you are testing it on support PHP? Have you verified that PHP is installed correctly? smile.gif

how are you trying to display it? did you upload the file to your server or just looking at it in dreamweaver or something? does your file end in .php? another thing its probably better to use all lower case on html tags caps are not w3c compliant. it will still work but its not recommended.

thanks i forgot to put it into WAMP.
gosh this stuff is confusing..
Is there any good tuts that can teach me php or any books i can get that are begginer friendly.

Super easy beginner tutorial style book for PHP 5.

PHP 5: Your visual blue print

The book is not too thick, includes all the basics from installation right through code syntax. Examples at the bottom of every page showing you just the basics of how to use a particular function or get code to work.

They are not badly priced either. smile.gif
