Hi i have absolutely NO knowledge of java at all and this is the only site i trust for coding. anyway

I am not asking you to do it for me as you cant do it on here but do you kno wany tutorials which will let me learn the basics of java.

Well there are many sources you can look at for learning Java basics. The best is the Sun Microsystems site itself. It has several "trails" which can help you learn all the basics of the language. But if you are looking for something more concrete and great in the way of books, I recommend learning Java from the Deitel publishing series. It is called "Java How to Program (7th Edition)". It is a nice thick book with tons of examples, Q&A and practice projects. It is a bit pricey but covers tons of stuff from the most basic right to the advanced topics.
