Hello, I am going to start a web comic and I made a web layout for it. It is not completely finished yet, but I would like to have some feedback in advance before coding it. What do you think of this template?^^

The background's so soft and the cartoon's are bold. Looks a bit out of place. Something in between to blend the two?

Yeah you could do with making the background colours darker, and then whatever fonts your using lighter colours. But overall the layout does look ok, could you add some text as an example to what the final product will be like? before you begin coding.

Thanks for the suggestions, I made a new version now. I hope this looks better.
I did not add all text though. (and the navigation link is a bit low here, I will move it up when I finish the layout^^; )

I think you should stick with white background. It looks nicer and goes along with the "Web 2.0" shirt funnyness.

Ok, don't take this as harsh, but the soft Mac Gel style background doesn't immediately strike me as fitting the theme of the comic characters on the top.
Maybe a more organic style, as if the site was drawn? Or...well...not rough, but "less refined"?
