Ok,

I have two new sites I am working on right now.
First time most of the code is mine for the backend , no cms involved this time...

Its very simple right now, so this isn't really design related, more function.

shop.youraddressmagazine.com
3 main sections of the site.
shopping centers :
what else would you want to see if you were looking for shopping info....
the shopping centers (first part of the left nav)
have basic info. (ADS will NOT be there)

and the review / overview section will be quite a bit longer and with a couple images in it.
there will also be a store list at the bottom.

individual stores :
eventually all the stores we have deals with, which is going on 20 right now, will have mostly custom-built pages, or at least they will look custom, with special deals... pictures of their storefront etc... on it. and then every other store that is in these particular shopping centers we don't have a deal with will have the basic info, phone number address etc....

finally the last part of the navigation is completely os commerce and seperate from the rest of the site but will eventually be integrated so that these same stores we have deals with above, which are then a part of the shopping centers from the very top... will have individual items in the store. such as art, crafts , whatever....

Anyways, what I'm really worried about is the shopping centers and stores section.
it just doesn't look like enough content, even after i lay it out and design it out.

is there more info you would want out of it?
any special functionality that would be nice to have?

etc....

i realize your not soccer moms and housewives which is what this is aimed at, but take a shot.

i will not forgive you otherwise.

this post was too long.

Sporting Goods - One thing I did when I had my City portal site was broke it down a little further. I had Men's fashion and Women's Fashion. You have Restaurants, why not Coffee and Food unique to the region.
If you are doing a city type portal as well then a golf guide is a must. Was my most popular page on my portal site.

Other than that once you start adding content the navigation will expand. When there is no content less is more.

Just my $0.02

Looks nice.
Easy overview, fast and clear navigation...
I don't really have any complaints about it.
