How can i communicate with the GPS?

Hi;

am thinking about creating an application in the mobile phone that have the ability to communicate with the GPS (which is build-in the mobile phone) to extract the current user location, and another application to get the location generated and also asks for the user location each time i need it;

i need a direction or starting point to get started happy.gif

By using a com ports. it can be done in C#. I have done it just not with a phone GPS system.

OK thats good;

however, can i communicate with GPS which is far away from me (i mean without using bluetooth) and ask for its location?

Like a Lo Jack or OnStar type application I am sure you could if your GPS was on a network and you could access that network. that would be the only way I would know how to do it. I don't understand mobile development, so may be some else can help you with that. I just know you can communicate with GPS using a C# application, but in my app the GPS unit has to be plugged in to the Local area network either by usb or wireless
