Hey there y'all...
I have been trying to understand some stuff here and I have come here a couple of time here and there and asked some questions about ColdFusion, Forms, and PHP... Well, I have thanks to several of you, figured out these kinks and have finally put together my site. I would love it if you all checked it out and gave me some feedback. I am new at the development stuff.. but am starting to get the hang of the organization, and such. I am a designer / artist by trade... development just fascinates me. So here I am. This is my first ever Hand coded CSS and PHP site. No Tables at all. Just to play around with things a bit. With includes and such,... it really won't be a pain to maintain like my last html site. So, thanks again. I realllly appreciate it!!!

One, this topic was probably better suited in the Site Feedback forum. Two, your site looks very professional, I like icon_up.gif . Thirdly, I'm sure everybody appreciates the fact you have the courtesy to thank people for helping. smile.gif

Thanks for the thanks! the site looks very nice IMO...I like the color choices. Very easy on the eyes.

I'll move this over to Site Check so you get some additional reviews.

Looks good, my only grief is on my monitor the header exceeds the rest of the site. about 100px overhang on each side. Other than that - keep up the good work

thats cause it stretches the whole site.

nice work,
on an art site you always want to keep it simple and focus on the art which you have done. your work is hot btw. haven't looked through much but that spring 08 creative events calendar ++

Yeah - he should adjust it though to keep it consistent with the rest of the site. instead of a width=100%, could use a div id="wrapper" or something to set the canvas to a consistent width.

The site looks great, IMO - the header should be smaller. smile.gif

The art reminds me of the Beatles : Yellow Submarine animated movie.

The site looks great & I'm glad to hear that you are getting such a great response from everyone at Dream In Code!

Thank everybody...
I made the header 100% because of personal preference. I liked the idea of dividing the screen horizontally as opposed to keeping it all boxed in. with white or color bars on the sides. I felt that this way I gave it the header and then everything underneath seemed wide open and let my art "pop". I don't know,,, I didn't think it looked bad. I am just now trying to layout a more organized outline... I had many a late nights and don't think I made the right move to separate my painting/illustration/design categories out of my portfolio. I think I should have labeled the side menu under portfolio as topics of work and not past clients... I think it will show the diversity of my abilities. I am currently turning my illustrations into vectors and then animating them to some music my brother created. Anyways... thanks again for the help and the feedback.

Cheers!
