I am not sure how many of you noticed, but there is a quite spectacular pissing match going on between Nvidia and Intel. I think it started when Nvidia was promoting at Cebit 08 that "GPU matters more than a CPU" (actually they are right, if you have a mediocre CPU and a high end graphics card, your games will rung better, than with a mediocre graphics card and a high end CPU).
Then Intel was talking about that Nvidia is panicking, that is why they did not get an SLI license from them. Nvidia's answer was that Larrabee (Intel's upcoming discrete graphics part) is just a slide in Intel's presentation.
Finally Nvidia is going to launch a benchmark to prove their claim about the GPU's importance.
What do you think, are they going AMD's way, or this time Intel has a competitor that might give them a run for their money - or this is just another theatrical piece for our amusement?
