Hello Sir/Madamm,

I have a matrix equation that I need to calculate its eigenvalue and eigenvector.This is a 6*6 matrix with 17 non-zero components. The problem is how can I obtain the eigenvalue and eigenvector symbolically.

In fact, these 17 components are not number and I need a general form of solution.I would so much appreciate if you could kindly guide me. Is there any software that I can use it symbolically or I will have to write a computer code??

Sorry, do you need the formula for the eigenvalue, or are you asking if there is current software that will calculate it?
