Hey guys, so in my college they almost solely focus on Java. Unfortunately, I'm hoping to program games so Java (or so I've heard) is a poor choice for larger games as they apparently run slower. I was wondering how C# is for creating games, is it as fast as C++? Is it faster than Java? Any info is greatly appreciated!

C# is not as fast as C++ or Java. C++ is typically the game programmers language of choice for performance, but Java can run just as fast as C++. Java share a lot of things with C++ since it splintered off from that language. You can program C# games however and can be used with XNA, the game development platform for things like Xbox or windows XP/Vista.
