Components, Integration of CFC with PHP

I have been working with PHP in an integrated Fusebox Framework and came across an example application (which fails by the way) with a Component CFC somewhere in the code.

Now, as a 14 year cold fusion developer I know how to use such a component in that language, however, I have never seen it's use with PHP. So, I guess my question is, how (if possible) do I use Cold Fusion Components (CFC) with PHP, how do I call them and do I need to make any changes in the CFC code to accomplish the connection?

I don't care that you're fourteen. I'm sixteen. You're no big fart.

I've been developing with CF for 14 years. Now, if your juvenille little game is over, please leave. I don't play childish games

Oops. Misread it wink2.gif There was a viral wave a bit back of people saying "14 year old programmer! Can you believe it?", "1337 teenage programmer!" and the like in their signatures.

Regardless, you should lighten up smile.gif

I don't really know about that as I've never used ColdFusion, Now due to my knowledge I don't think that PHP supports CFC, you would have to convert the code to php, so you need to know how eac CFC functions, now you can use your PHP knowledge to rewrite the program in PHP, other than that I do not know. Also Spearfish that wasn't nice.

Sorry, I've just been in a bad mood as of late. No idea why.

I've never used cold fusion either. But as far as I know, they're completely separate languages, even if they're both for the web. I haven't come across any mention of integrating CF into PHP throughout my learnings.

Browsing this search would probably be your best bet. Glancing over the results though, it didn't seem promising.

I actually found the answer by examining some old code I have transposed to use the Cold Fusion Fusebox framework. The CFC, while using the standard Fusebox naming and construction conventions, actually were written in the PHP style. So, yes, you can use a quasi-CFC by converting the code to PHP objects.

Also, I take my programming seriously, So I too must apologize. Being older than most here, I tend to not want to waste time. And, at times it makes me a bit testy.
