Are you running a wireless connection? Cable, DSL or dialup?

Does nslookup resolve domain names? When was the last time that you reset your router? Do you get the same results if you plug the connection directly into your PC/Laptop?

How to use : nslookup
Direct as in Directly from the wall to your PC (bypass the router).

NSLookup is going to tell you what name server you are using.

This will tell us if you are using a good name server and some other information. Name servers (Domain name servers) are used to take google.com and translate that into a IP address which websites are named after. If their was no DNS you would have to put in the IP address for each website you want to vist every time.

Its possible your provider has you on a bad DNS server or something is incorrect with it. Try ping the website you are having issues with. See if it resolves the IP address and can actually send data to and from it.
