Hi,

Has anybody paid for offical support from Adobe for Coldfusion? I am in the process of buying licences for CF8 and was wondering if the support is worth the $10K they are asking.

Thanks

john

We use ColdFusion at work, and we do not use the support. IMO its a waste of $10k, however if you do not know enough about ColdFusion then I recommend getting the support.

If you're paying for it after the fact, it's not worth it. If you get it bundled with your ColdFusion Enterprise license through a vendor like CarahSoft, it's only like $1,800 instead of $10,000.

We've had Silver, Gold, and Platinum support over the years and while we don't use it often, it's worth it when you have a downing event and need to talk to someone NOW.

Gold Support was my favorite, but mainly because we had an awesome rep.
