I want a page where people can (preferably drag/drop) ftp files onto my site.

I tried
CODE
<iframe src="ftp://ftpusername:password@rabbitlink.com"
width="500" height="400" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"
hspace="0" vspace="0" frameborder="5" scrolling=yes>
</iframe>

That opens a small window inside my web page that utilizes the browser as the ftp client.

The method showed above is unstable in IE, and Safari. It does not work at all in firefox. It will often give "wrong username password" errors, it will time out, give other permission errors. Sometimes it won't open at all. This is with my browsers completely up to date.
I don't believe it is my host because ftp works fine with a traditional client.

I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to do this better!

Thank you!

It's not your host. It's the browsers. Firefox doesn't support that style FTP Uploads and Explorer seems to be phasing it out beginning with 7. Not sure about Safari.

The only Browser based drag on drop I've seen have been Java Applet or ActiveX controls.

Having never used any I can't recommend one, but I did find a couple with a google search 'drag and drop file upload'

At this point it is not even important at all if it is drag and drop. I have probably literally tried 100 php scripts.

Does any one know of any script out there that is a web based uploader that allows you to upload entire folders? I have found a million that will let you upload 1 file at a time, but with the nature of what I am doing that is useless...

I have spent so many hours on this I am ready to give up. Please help!
