That would be a decent computer, but w/o a monitor you could build better from New Egg for less. Also, I wouldn't stick with the stock CPU cooler, I would definitely spend some to get a decent cooler.

From New Egg:

  • AMD 64 X2 5600+ 89 Watt
  • ASUS M2N-E SLI AM2 NVIDIA nForce 500 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
  • XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT 512MB
  • CORSAIR XMS2 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

This is only $389 US. So as you can see from New Egg you can build a great gaming machine for far less than most think (Thats were I built my machine)

its ok, nice CPU and all, but if you want it for gaming, the graphics card is weak. Vista is not a downside. I run Crycis on vista on high and it still gets a good FPS rate thats over 30. Vista just gets a bad name because people buy budget PCs from dell and such that have vista but should not.

ive never actually played COD4 on the comp and I dont actually know anyone who uses comp for it, so I would have no point of reference when saying yes or no.

Looks nice, the cpu is better than mine.
I run of 4gb ram. And it even has my graphics card.
Grab a little extra ram if you want.
