ok im saving for a car. but i am not sure what car i want. i am fighting between 2 of them. a '95 Acura Integra GS and a '96 Chevy Camaro SS. the Integra is good cause it is cheaper in price insurance and gas. BUT the Camaro is so sexy and powerful. and i was always brought up with american cars and muscle cards, my brother had a '91 Ford Mustang Cobra. im not sure which one i should get though. i love them both. what do you think i should do.
Ohh the integra all the way , nice looking car , sporty yet classy at the same time , as for the SS , i dont like chevy , and if you get the SS , your facing muder by the insurance company . and not alot of people have the integra's , be orginal.
well thats what i was first gunna get. cause i didnt see them on the road. now i drive around and all i see is them. like 50 million of them. one on every street corner. i think i see them more than i see civics now. i dont know what happen. and i used to see alot of camaros and now i see barely any. i know the SS is high insurance. but how can you turn down 325hp and over 400 pounds of tourqe
Oh i never said their not powerful , I just personally would go with the integra , but then again , i never noticed there were alot of them out there .
here is a pic of the camaro for all you people. Specs: 325 hp, rear wheel drive, 8cyl 5.7L, ABS, racing supension and here is the integra Specs: 140hp, Front wheel drive, 4cyl 1.8L, no ABS, Standard supension
I think it depends on how much you like working on cars. If you enjoy spending your weekends up to your elbows in oil and grease, go for the Camero. If you would be happy never seeing what is under the hood and don't even own a screw driver or wrench, then the Acura is the way to go. The Acura will run until the wheels fall off, with very little maintanence. The Camero will not. Besides, gas is not getting any cheaper. (Especially if we end up in a war in the middle east)
why do you think the Camaro is gunna be alot of problems?
if you are talking about the stock engine parts are not that great. im sure most of them wont be in there much longer after i buy the car =) 325hp just aint enough... =)
Heh... I think you just answered your own question, man.... 140hp, FWD... besides.. the integras are among the top 5 cars stolen in the US, hence the HIGHER insurance rates.
the integra will give you good mileage, and it's an aftermarket favorite to say the least. maintenance & cost of parts will be higher than the domestic cars too, so keep that in mind. Personally I'd take neither, but if I had to, I'd probably go with the camaro. nobody wants to see another ricer rolling down the street with another anally violated exhaust can..
I think that if you're going for something a little classier, the Camaro's the way to go. Besides... 325 ponies at the rear wheels will leave integras looking rather silly. You'll want to get better tires almost immediately, though. The stock ones just didn't deliver enough traction to handle the power. A word about the engine though- it's very strong, and it's a good powerplant to build on.
PS- It's the Civics with the indestructible reputation, not Integras. The integras have had a for rust problems, and if you DO decide to buy it, check maintenance records, paying special attention to the radiator. The stock ones only had a 3 or 4 year lifespan in some cases.
jebus! get the camaro! its a freakin SS for christ sake! ss has high performance exaust, low restriction air flow and it has sport shocks and struts! rofl there should be no question the SS ownz all your base
After Great debate with my self I say the Camero, replacement parts are everywere Junk Yards are full of major Engine Parts ( the LS1 is in every Chevy Caprice Police Car since 1993). and cops wreck shizzle all the time. they are easy to work on and if you ever have to pull the engine or tranney it is easyer then a fron wheel drive ( pain in the ass I have to replace the starter on my corolla the dam thing is in the middle of the back of the engine where as the Camero it is right there on the bottom it just weighs 5 lbs more. Not to mention that there is every single go fast part available just remember if you do start to go HI-Pro Make shure that you Blue Print the block and Use Hi Pro parts for everything including Bolts.
Just Buy a Block from a Junk Yard and start Building it in yer garage.
But the Integra= Dependable Fwd= Hard to work on Just rember that Chebbys are super easy to steal and take about 10 seconds to get into and another 30 to steal yer tunes So either way get the best alarm that you can afford, So you dont wake up like my buddy to find his engine Half stolen, ( heads and carb were taken whilist he snoozed but that was a 76)
and carl. man his engine was ripped apart in his drive way?? that sucks. thats like my brother, his car got broken into in the drive way and my sister saw them and went and got my brother and he runns outside in the middle of winter while it was snowing and chases them down the block in socks his boxers and a t-shirt, carrying a baseball bat in one hand and a bb gun in the other.... it was fucking hallarious!
*LMFAO* I have a frend that did the same thing during deer season but he was charging after a 18 pt buck, now if the 18 pt buck was trying to steel his car that would have been funny
