Alright, I had posted another topic but I didn't supply it with enough information.
Good to know those, is in between the time period of me posting my previous topic and this topic; I have learned quite a bit.
However, I still have a couple of graphics/coding issues.
Now be aware, I am somewhat familiar with coding, and I am a very well Photoshopper (lol).
CODE
[url=http://myspace.com/itsnotrtm]Here's the link to my MySpace, as you can see from the bottom, I have a PROBLEM.[/url]
Now, here's the details.
There is the comment box, however, I'm not sure how to overlay it onto the image, AND I am not sure how to make a continuous image.
Problems:
- The comments aren't ON TOP of the image, so it goes behind and nullifying the purpose of a background in general. I thought of a couple solutions:
One, is to remove the background image for the comment box so that the comments would just be graphically "ON TOP OF" the image, and then making the background of the comment box the color. However, the problem to that is I need the actual coding of the comment box IN GENERAL for it to work, and I can't find the code and it isn't anywhere publicly on the main site. Damn Tom. - Second should be easy for you forum-skin makers, as my question is how would I have a continuous background? ASSUME the ABOVE problem was fixed, and the whole comment box overlay crap was dealt with. How would I make my comment box stretch down equivalent with the comment posted? Here's an easier explanation:
With each comment another MySpace user leaves you, you have the box automatically stretch itself to acquaint(sp?) itself with the new comment. What I did was add a separate box image to the layout that would "surround" the comments posted. However, I am not sure how to make it AUTOMATICALLY "stretch (I'm assuming it duplicates itself and overlaps the previous or creates more of itself to fit the amount of change)" itself with each new comment. I'm sure it's some easy piece of coding or graphic trick, but god damn it's eluding me.
Thanks for reading this wall of text, and please ask me to repeat anything you might find confusing, as I have only been in America for a single month and my English isn't so great.
Thanks again, and if you need clarification or need the original images or PhotoshopCS3 PSD, just instant message me on AIM or PM me with any questions. My AIM name is xlrtm2lx and I'd like to, once again, thank you for taking your time to help me out; my first thread was actually quite rude, forgive me, because I assumed that I would get a dead-end like every other person asking for help in this world, and hadn't bothered to properly give my respects to those offering to help me. This is a great site, IMO, and I like how you guys actually help out some of your members. I decided to continue to lurk and contribute, and hell, even help some of the other guys that also have questions because this site is actually pretty awesome.
