i have been asked to do a presentation with the following title:

"Optimum architecture for cross-platform embedded systems"

Actually i need ideas and suugestions what to write ????

Please define the terms "architecture" and "platform" in the context you were given them, because to me they mean pretty much the same thing. smile.gif

Generally architecture is meant to be things like 32-bit or 64-bit, CISC or RISC, etc... and platform being the target OS

x86 is the most widely used architecture in modern computing, with support for Windows, Netware, Unix and Linux. PowerPC is second on the list, with support for Macintosh based operating systems, e.g. OS X and AIX UNIX.

Just a quick addendum, here - with the switch to Intel, OS X is now on x86 as well I believe.

i think it would be better to concentrate on the term optimum.
do u think there is an optimum cross platform ???
